BANK AND EMPLOYEES SUPPORT JEANNE GEIGER CRISIS CENTER FUNDRAISER WALK
Newburyport Bank employees, friends, families and dogs!
Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank was the “Going the Distance” $5,000 sponsor for the Jeanne Geiger 2012 Annual Walk Against Domestic Violence held on September 30th. In addition to Bank sponsorship, Bank employees formed a team of over 40 people and a variety of four-footed friends who wore the Bank blue and braved the rain for the 3.5 mile walk. The Crisis Center Walk is one of many walks/runs employees participate in to raise funds for community charitable events. Their generosity of donating their time and energy illustrates their dedication to the employee driven Spirit of Giving program.
The event is the organization’s largest fundraiser, supporting free programs and services that heal individuals and families at risk because of domestic violence. This year’s walk produced fundraising results of over $104,000.
Community Involvement

Through countless hours of employee-driven volunteering efforts, our team generously donates their time, money, talent and energy to area community nonprofit organizations and people in need.
